Meet Chantal
For 16 years, my family and I have been proud to call Summit home. I’ve been deeply involved in our community, volunteering with local organizations like GRACE, Moms Helping Moms, Impact 100 Garden State, the Summit Educational Foundation, the Junior League, and Summit’s Environmental Commission projects. I’ve also had the joy of coaching boys’ recreational basketball. Summit is a special place, one that my husband, David, and I chose for its vibrant downtown, excellent public schools, and strong sense of community. Our sons, Lucas and Connor, have thrived here, taking full advantage of all that Summit has to offer.
Professionally, I spent over 20 years at Goldman Sachs, where I held leadership roles as an HR executive, chief of staff, and ultimately as a senior executive of the consumer bank. Throughout my career, I learned that solving complex challenges requires transparency, collaboration, and diverse perspectives. I built a reputation as a leader who listens, connects people, and fosters trusted relationships. I’m proud to have mentored teams through economic cycles and industry challenges, always leading with integrity and sound judgment.
I was born and raised in Maryland, the daughter of artists and small business owners who worked hard to make ends meet. From a young age, I saw firsthand how education and strong community support can open doors and create opportunities. After attending Bucknell University, I worked in the nonprofit sector before relocating to New York City.
Now, I’m running for Common Council because I want to bring my leadership experience, transparency, and collaborative way of working to our city government. I believe Summit thrives when we work together to prioritize smart policies, fiscal responsibility, and an inclusive, forward-thinking vision for our city. I am eager to listen, advocate, and lead on behalf of all Summit residents.
I appreciate your support and hope to earn your vote in November.
